Tax Transparency seminar 2025

VBDO is delighted to invite you to the Tax Transparency Benchmark seminar on Tuesday 11 November 2025 at ABP in Amsterdam.

During the seminar we will present the results of the 2025 Tax Transparency Benchmark. This edition includes 116 listed companies from both the Netherlands (51) and Europe (65). During the seminar we will present the trends of this year’s benchmark and announce the winner of this year.

We will discuss the results of the Tax Transparency Benchmark in a broader context and focus on key regulatory and market developments. Topics will include CSRD compliance, the role of tax in materiality assessments, stakeholder engagement, and the growing influence of AI in taxation. The importance of sustainable tax governance will also be highlighted, particularly where tax policy and sustainability intersect.

Panel Discussion: AI in Tax – Opportunities, Boundaries and Responsibilities

AI is rapidly entering the tax domain, from the Dutch Tax Authority – often described as the country’s largest IT company – to the financial sector and multinational businesses. While the technology promises efficiency gains and the automation of repetitive tasks, it also raises complex questions around reliability, governance, ethics, and the human role in decision-making. How far are we prepared to go, and how do we ensure responsible adoption? This panel brings together diverse perspectives—from tax & legal practice and the financial sector to policy and ethics—to explore how AI is reshaping taxation and what this means for organizations, leaders, and professionals now and in the future.
