Presentation Benchmark Responsible Investments by Pension funds in the Netherlands 2020

The presentation of the Benchmark Responsible Investments by Pension funds in the Netherlands 2020 will take place this year during (the live broadcast of) the Financial Investigator’s seminar on Climate Change, Climate Risk and Energy Transition. Participation in the seminar is free and open to pension fund directors and employees of board offices.

About the benchmark

The VBDO Benchmark Responsible Investments by Pension funds in the Netherlands is is supported by FNV and a household name in the pension world. The fifty largest pension funds in the Netherlands participate in the benchmark every year. The VBDO team assesses the funds for a responsible investment on four different categories – government, policy, implementation & accountability – and draws up a ranking. During the festive presentation of the benchmark in the autumn, the winners will be honored and the results explained.

Seminar on Climate Change, Climate Risk and Energy Transition

As a pension fund, why do you have to develop an investment policy for climate change? How do you integrate climate-related risks into governance, risk management and your reports? How do you deal with physical risks of climate change in your investment portfolio?

On Monday afternoon, October 26 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm, various experts will address these questions during a live broadcast. You can follow the program online or attend on location in the Planetarium Meeting Center in Amsterdam. The Live Broadcast is presented by Jeroen van der Put, Director, Advisor pension funds and Chairman of the Risk Management Committee at the Pensioenfederatie.

Keynote speakers include:

• Caspar Vlaar, Director at various pension funds;
• Geert Jan Kremer, Board Member, Pension fund Kas Bank;
• Marcel Jeucken, Founder and Managing Director, SustFin;
• Samantha Lamb, Head of ESG, Fixed Income, Aberdeen Standard Investments;
• Manuel Coeslier, Portfolio Manager and SRI Analyst, Mirova (part of Natixis IM);
• Mark Lewis, Chief Sustainability Strategist, BNP Paribas Asset Management.

During the broadcast, the results of the Benchmark Responsible Investment Pension Funds 2020 will be announced. Angélique Laskewitz, executive director of VBDO will comment on important findings and conclusions from the benchmark and announce the winner in a festive manner.
