The SDGs act as an overarching tool for linking companies, financial institutions and governments. This enables organizations to use the SDGs as a framework for shaping sustainable strategies and for communicating and reporting on them. Companies are expected to not only link their current strategy to the SDGs, but that the SDGs form a basis for a new sustainable development policy.
